Background

Punggol Green Primary School is a newly built school that serves the Punggol West community. It is located at 98 Punggol Walk, next to Punggol Sapphire and Punggol Ripples. The school is built under the new norms to support the Primary Education Review & Implementation (PERI) Committee’s recommendations to enhance primary school education.

Punggol Green Primary School began its operations in 2013 under the leadership of Mrs. Seah Lay Tin, former principal of Ang Mo Kio Primary School. In 2019, Mr Hanafi B Asmore, former Principal of Punggol Primary School, succeeded her as the school’s second Principal.

In 2026, Mdm Chua was appointed as the third Principal of Punggol Green Primary School. As an educator, Mdm Chua champions the 'Power of Yet' and the belief that every student can succeed through resilience and a growth mindset. She views challenges not as obstacles, but as essential opportunities to strengthen our abilities. By embracing the idea that mastery is a journey of persistence, she hopes to empower our learners to turn 'I can't' into 'I can't yet.' Mdm Chua firmly believes that that every child can flourish with heart and determination, nurtured in a safe and joyful community into future-ready leaders with a heart for others.
