Direct School Admission (DSA)
Information on Direct School Admission- Secondary 2020
Direct School Admission (DSA) is a commitment on the part of both the student and the secondary school. This is because the school is committed to developing students to their fullest potential in both their studies and talents throughout their school years. Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the talent. Therefore, students who are not sure or not ready to do so should enter a secondary school through the S1 Posting instead.
Students successfully allocated to their DSA-Sec schools will NOT be allowed to participate in the annual S1 Posting to opt for secondary schools, and are expected to honour the commitment to the allocated DSA-Sec school for the entire duration of the programme to develop their talents.
They will also NOT be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results.
P6 students and parents are advised to:
a. Visit the MOE website from 11 May 2020 for information on the 2020 DSA-Sec application process and timeline (www.moe.gov.sg/dsa-sec).
b. Visit secondary schools’ websites from 11 May 2020 for information on DSA talent areas, selection timeline and criteria.
c. Look out for the press release regarding the commencement of the DSA-Sec application on 11 May 2020, 11a.m.
To ensure the safety and well-being of our students and school personnel amid the COVID-19 situation, DSA schools will conduct all interviews and selection for DSA via electronic modes (e-modes) using video conferencing. The e-modes will be done in the primary school during the selection period.
