Mother Tongue Languages

Vision :
An active learner and proficient user of Mother Tongue Language who understands and appreciates their cultural heritage and has a love for the language.
Mission:
We seek to create a conducive environment that is culturally vibrant and positive for our students to develop their love and interest in the language .

1. The Mast:
The mast supports the hull and holds the whole boat together. This is represented by our Vision, Mission and the school values that we believe in and will uphold. We plan our school programmes and curriculum with these in mind.
2. Main
Sail :
The main sail encompasses the knowledge, skills and attitudes that we would like our students to have. There are six foundational skills: Listening, Speaking , Writing, Reading, Written interactive skills and Spoken interactive skills.
3. Small Sail:
Both parents and resources are represented in the small sail. Parents need to work hand in hand with the school to help to achieve the objectives. Providing students with the right resources so as to create the right , joyful and vibrant environment to learn.
4. The
Rudder
A rudder is a primary control surface used to steer the boat. This is represented by the recognition of the global advances in teaching the languages. The teachers in PGPS are constantly involved in research projects, sharing and workshops and worked closely with NIE, SCCL , MLCS , UPTLC and CPDD so as to strengthen the training and professional development of teachers and the pedagogical approaches used in teaching and learning.
5. The hull:
The hull is the main part of the sailing boat. This is represented by the key programmes and the key initiatives that we have so as to create the right environment and provide many opportunities for our students to learn and to apply the language in real-life situation.
Our key initiatives are:
Creating
Differentiated Lesson Packages:
